AKC COURSES NATASHA HAS COMPLETED
All courses have an exam, but some have no official certificate. If you do not see the certificate, please rest assured that Natasha still took and passed all exams.
THE ABC'S OF DOG BREEDING, PEDIGREE
This course covers pedigree and understanding the role it plays in breeding responsibly. Pedigree is not the most important aspect of responsible breeding, but definitely plays a role in understanding bloodline and the successes of the individual dogs ancestors in breeding.
ABC'S OF DOG BREEDING, KENNEL BLINDNESS
Sometimes the owner of breeding dogs can have a hard time seeing the flaws in their own individual dog(s). It is very important for an owner to understand the flaws of their dog so that they may breed these flaws out of future litters. Natasha learned how to recognize this in herself and remedy any issues.
WHELPING AND MEDICAL INTERVENTION
We learned about the stages of labor and when to help or let nature take its course. Natasha also learned about cesarean section and when it is recommended. We plan to have a veteranarian on call during the whole process to protect our beloved Ny'Naeve whilst she is whelping her own beautiful litter!
ABC'S OF DOG BREEDING, SELECTION
It is so very important to select the correct mate for your dog. As mentioned above, it is the duty of all breeders to breed any flaws from their dog's bloodline. This can only be achieved by responsibly choosing mates after careful thought and communication with the mate's owner.
NUTRITIONAL INFLUENCES ON REPRODUCTION
Good nutrition for a dog begins when they are born and carries to their precious babies and so on. A dam with a poor diet is at high risk for miscarriage or high mortality rate for babies. Our dam is fed only high quality food (as outlined in the course) and her health is kept in mind at all times!
ABC'S OF DOG BREEDING, SELECTION PART 2
This course covers the importance of understanding linebreeding and inbreeding and taught me what each of these processes mean. Rest assured, our dam will never be bred with any dog from her pedigree.
AKC BREEDING BASICS
The title says it all! We must all start with the building blocks.
ABC'S OF DOG BREEDING, GENETIC DEFECTS AND HEALTH
Some dogs will carry genetic defects and never know it! A lot of these illnesses are silent and the owner of carriers may never know if they have these defects. Our dam is tested for all breed related illnesses and our sires are chosen accordingly. Please rest assured that you will get the healthiest puppies we can possibly provide!
ABC'S OF CANINE ANATOMY
Understanding canine anatomy helps breeders recognize anatomical issues within their own breeding stock and offers the opportunity to breed these defects from the bloodline. Our dam is tested and has been evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for her breed's genetic risk. She has been found to have excellent hip anatomy and at extremely low risk for hip dysplasia!

GOOD DOG A TO Z PREGNANCY AND WHELPING
The different stages of pregnancy are very different, and our mamas require different assistance and treatment during each. We learned how to support our mama so she and her puppies have the best chances possible at a successful and safe delivery and so the pups are as healthy as possible. When our dam goes into labor, we're here to help. In this course we learned about when to intervene and when to let nature take its course. We also learned about how to identify the different stages of labor and what do during all of them.
GOOD DOG A TO Z PRE-BREEDING COURSE
Here we learned everything about preparing our dam for a successful and safe pregnancy/labor and for healthy pups, mind and body.
GOOD DOG A TO Z
LITTER MANAGEMENT - MONTH 1
In that first month, pups go through so many changes, so fast. They are very delicate and require constant care. In this course we learned how to best care for these little bundles; health issues to watch out for, how to manage those health issues and growth of the mind and body.
GOOD DOG A TO Z LITTER MANAGEMENT - MONTH 2
They're getting closer to going home! Many of the health risks are lessened meaning we can focus on growing their little minds and helping them become the best family dogs possible. In this course we learned how to nurture these little guys so they can be obedient and loving companions for each of their families.
